Sources are increasingly important

One of the major changes in the SAT redesign is in how students are required to deal with sources https://domywriting.com/. Now, students must offer support for their answers, often referencing a specific line in a passage as part of their answer choice. The kinds of texts represented in the SAT will also be changing, representing a variety of subject areas. Students will analyze them as they would in that particular subject, but they will contain more variety than in previous years. They'll also include well-known passages from important documents, which is something students can actually study ahead of time (think Declaration of Independence, Gettysburg Address, etc.) You should also prepare your students to analyze evidence and examine arguments in a thorough way. They will no longer be constructing arguments for the SAT, but analyzing and responding to existing arguments. The essay portion of the exam, which was once required, will now be optional. Additionally, vocabulary will now reflect words that will be necessary in various contexts (career and college) going forward.
